Please tell us about yourselves and how your work relates to group dynamics in the workplace.

Kari Uman: I’m a leadership coach, and I frequently work with women who are being promoted or who are starting a new job or position. Many women hold onto myths about how to be a leader—for instance, that working hard will automatically get you a promotion. Workplace values have radically changed in recent years, and I help individuals cope with these changes.

Murray Nossel: I’m a clinical psychologist with a Ph.D. in social work and anthropology. In the ’90s, I evolved a listening and storytelling methodology to teach people how to connect with one another. My company, Narativ, applies this methodology to a business setting.
