Swedish-born, London-based interior designer Beata Heuman founded her eponymous firm in 2013 and has since won accolades for her joyful, maximalist aesthetic. Though her practice focuses on residences for private clients, she has also designed restaurants and is currently working on her first boutique hotel project in Paris. 

Annick Weber: What time do you get home from work?

Beata Heuman: I try to leave work a bit after 6 p.m. It takes under 10 minutes to walk home, so I get to spend some time with my daughters before they go to bed at 7. Running my own business means having the luxury of deciding where our office is.  We’re currently moving to a bigger workspace, but staying in Hammersmith [West London] was a must.
