It’s been almost 20 years since journalists and childhood friends Albert Hill and Matt Gibberd founded real estate agency The Modern House. Combining their experience at magazines including Wallpaper* and The World of Interiors with a passion for modernist architecture in the UK, they have grown The Modern House into an aspirational lifestyle brand, as well as a place for the very wealthy to buy property. A recently launched sister company, Inigo, caters to those whose preference is for historic homes. 

As the pair explain here, they hope that the rich editorial content and magazine-style photography have also helped put Britain’s architectural heritage on the map.
