An East Village icon pairs a small stage with a seasonal menu.

Joe’s Pub is a legendary live music venue and supper club within the redbrick Public Theater in Manhattan’s East Village. Since opening in 1998, it has played host to luminaries like Leonard Cohen, Elvis Costello and Janelle Monáe, who in turn share the stage with emerging artists and other up-and-comers. Named after Joseph Papp, the director who founded The Public Theater and Shakespeare in the Park, Joe’s Pub stages around 800 shows each year and offers a seasonal menu of comfort food and cocktails created by chef Andrew Carmellini.
