Shinhye SukIn Seoul, a designer emerges with a subdued style for strong women.

Shinhye Suk creates clothes for powerful women. After studying at Parsons School of Design and cutting her teeth at designer Derek Lam’s headquarters in New York, Suk returned to her native South Korea in 2016. She was attracted by Seoul’s legendary fabric market, vibrant manufacturing industry and affordable rent. Eighteen months and two collections later, her label, Lehho, has established itself as an elegant alternative to the city’s dominant street-style aesthetic.

Lehho is a relatively young label. What’s the vision behind it?
Lehho seems simple, but if you look at the garments you can tell that each piece was created with complexity. Thought-out details and attention to the character of the fabric are critical.
