First published in 1979, the book ‘Working Cats’ documents the cats that earn their keep.
From wig shops to Italian restaurants and the back of taxicabs, cats are no strangers to the working world. Working Cats is photographer Terry deRoy Gruber’s first book on cats; he has since published Fat Cats and Cat High: The Yearbook. To find working cats, Gruber ran ads in several publications seeking pets adopted by businesses and shops.
